The
requirements listed above are the legal minimums required by the
FAA. The average time for our students to receive their Instrument
Pilot Rating is 40 hours. A good price range to budget for a license
today is $6,500 to $7,500. The assumptions below are more realistic,
but costs may be lower or higher depending on each individual's
circumstance.
The
best way to minimize your cost is to train on a regular basis. At
Tailwind Flight Center we recommend that you try to fly two to three times
per week during the instruction process. Skipping a week here and
there certainly will not hurt your overall progress, but more frequent
training produces much quicker results.
